November 2006 - Clark Equipment expands in Queensland

Clark Equipment has been experiencing such growth in Queensland that they have moved from their 1,000 sqm previous sales and service facility to a new aftermarket facility of 1,500 sqm situated in Archerfield and a new sales facility of 2,500 sqm at Acacia Ridge. Announcing the opening of the new Acacia Ridge sales facility Robert Hammond MD of the Clark Equipment Group said, "It's not that surprising that we are willing to make this major investment when Queensland continues to perform so strongly. With GDP growth at 4% and strong public sector infrastructure spending, as a result of impressive population growth at 2%, the highest state in Australia."

That's the growth story of Clark Equipment in Queensland. And it hasn't stopped yet says Steve Goodall Clark Equipment General Manager for Queensland. "Since moving into Archerfield we have seen a dramatic increase in parts and service sales whilst clients coming to the new sales facility at Acacia Ridge have commented that it puts "Clark up with the best", or as another said "Clark is leading the field, really showing the way."

"We now have 9 sales people with each a specialist in particular segments of our ever increasing range of equipment from Clark, Omega, Bobcat, IR Utility Vehicles, IR Construction, and Daken."

"Our people are very proud to encourage clients to visit both our service facility and our show room and it has resulted in a lot of new clients, especially for service, but with momentum building in equipment sales."

The exceptional growth in Queensland is fuelled primarily from interstate migration from NSW and SA, stemming from retirees seeking warmth and quiet, and younger people seeking better employment opportunities and a lower cost of living, as well as the growth in minerals.
