October 2005 - The new Clark Electric Trucks -
the right product at the right time
"What
great timing; to launch our new range of electric fork trucks
just as oil based fuel prices are going through the roof. Now
we can offer our customers' major fuel cost savings as oil based
fuel prices are certain to stay well above the highest levels
we've ever experienced in the past."
"And as well as gaining the fuel cost savings they can
know that they are being more environmentally friendly through
using quiet, non-polluting electric power, said Product Manager
Richard Abrahams commenting on the recent launch of the new
100% AC model line.
"The Clark AC Electric EPX and TMX series have all the
benefits of AC electric technology to provide the highest performance,
efficiency and reliability at very competitive prices, without
any of the downside of conventionally powered trucks."
"We intend to put much of our focus on the really excellent
electric product range. These trucks give Clark Equipment a
strong entry into the fastest growing sector of the light lift
truck market. This is a major opportunity for us because while
the IC forklift market has grown by 5%... the electric forklift
market has grown by 46%."
EPX models come in the 1600 kg to 2,000 kg range, whilst the
TMX models start at 1250 kg and range up to 2,000 kg.
All models feature hydrostatic power steering, hydraulic cushioning
in the lift mechanism, an adjustable steering pylon and large
instrument dash display. The trucks have compact manoeuvrability,
which allows tight turning radius for use in narrow aisles and
confined areas making them ideal for manufacturing, bottling,
warehousing and shipping applications.
"Strong early trade support has added to our confidence
that these state of the art trucks coming from the "One
Clark" R&D effort are a very competitive offering in
every way," concluded Richard.
