September 2005 - First Clark Open Day voted a great success

The huge range of product distributed by Clark Equipment was clearly shown by the multi-million dollar display of some 75 different pieces of equipment, which still did not encompass the whole range.

Attendance at both days exceeded all expectations. As Robert Hammond commented, "It was clear that all our guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly. It allowed our dealers, customers and other associates to see the change that Clark is currently undertaking."

Amazement at the range, the diversity, and size of the company was the most frequent comment heard expressed. Specifically it was amazement that the largest equipment on display, the Omega heavy lift trucks were designed, and manufactured by Clark Equipment at the Hornsby site.

David Rowels, President of the Ingersoll Rand Utility Equipment Group, said "I had no idea that the Clark Equipment turnover was in excess of $A150 m, that's a big business."
